Dixon and Co, Forth invoice

This invoice from Robert Ferguson to William Dixon is of interest as it shows that in 1895 William Dixon & co were doing the preparatory work for their largest mine in the Forth area near Wilsontown.

These items were probably delivered from the Auchengray junction to Wilsontown, where they were offloaded.

Does anybody know anything about Robert Ferguson’s of Carluke?
