For many years Ed Archer and others working on behalf of the Lanark & District Archaeological Society assembled a substantial collection of old postcards, photographs, archives and other material illustrating many aspects of the heritage of the old Upper Ward of Lanarkshire. Ownership of this collection has passed to Clydesdale's Heritage SCIO, and we continue to develop it through donations or purchases.   Most images featured on this website are from our collections and bear our watermark. Occasionally, for completeness, we may include images owned by other institutions or individuals, reproduced with their permission, and bearing an appropriate attribution.  As far as we are aware, Clydesdale's Heritage SCIO either holds the copyright for all material featured on this website, or has obtained consent to reproduce items owned by others. If the copyright owner's identity is uncertain, the individual wishing to reproduce the material is responsible for making every attempt to trace the owner and obtain the necessary permission.
