The old High Street in Lanark was once a great treasure, though, sadly, it has been ruined over the years. This card was sent from Lanark on 26th June, 1914. The writer said that they enjoyed Lanark a great deal.
Apart from the horses and cart, there is Henry Craig, the Chemist and the well known shoe shop-Stead & Simpson. Nowadays there is no shop devoted to selling shoes!
